P~ESOLUTION 70-115 ORDERING THE VACATION OF A <br />PORTION OF GRAND AVENUE BETWEEN FAIRHAVEN <br />AVENUE AND SANTA CLARA AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEP~EAS, on recommendation of the Department of Pttblic Works <br />and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha, Resolution <br />70-112 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate that <br />certain street right of way herein described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 21, 1970, a public hearing was duly <br />held on said street vacation on posted notices and the publication <br />of Resolution 70-112; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby find that that portion of Grand Avenue <br />between Fairhaven Avenue and Santa Clara Avenue is unnecessary for <br />present or prospective street purposes and does hereby make its <br />order abandoning and vacating for street purposes that certain <br />right of way in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, described as follows: <br /> <br />That portion of Grand Avenue adjacent to Lots 16, 18, 20, 22, <br />24, 26, 28, 30, and 32 of Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract as <br />shown on a map recorded in Book 26, pages 53 and 54, <br />Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Grand <br />Avenue with the center line of Fairhaven Avenue as shown on a <br />map of Tract 4424 recorded in Book 160, Pages 24 and 25, <br />Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; <br />thence South 89° 55' 56" West 30.00 feet along the said <br />Center line of Fairhaven Avenue; thence South 0° 01' 39" West <br />65.04 feet along a line parallel with the said center line <br />of Grand Avenue to the true point of beginning of the land <br />herein described; thence continuing South 0° 01' 39" West <br />1047.67 feet along a line parallel with the said center line <br />of Grand Avenue to a point on the Easterly extension of the <br />South line of said Lot 32; thence South 89° 57' 03" West <br />10.00 feet along said Easterly extension to the Southeast <br />corner of said Lot 32; thence North 0° 01' 39" East 1067.67 <br />feet along the East line of said Lots 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, <br />20, 18 and 16 to a point on a curve concave Southwesterly <br />and having a radius of 25.00 feet, a radial line at said <br />point bears North 36° 53' 51" East; thence Southeasterly along <br />said curve through a central angle of 53° 07' 48" a distance <br />of 23.18 feet to the true point of beginning. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of December, 1970. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
