RESOLUTION 71-8 OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA COMMENDING STEPHEN <br />CUNNINGHAM FOR AN ACT OF HEROISM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council that <br />on December 9, 1970, STEPHEN CUNNINGHAM, together with TERRY <br />PRICE, entered a burning apartment dwelling located at 1519 North <br />Dresser, Santa Ma, and aided in the rescue of Miss NaomiSchoeneweg; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to acknowledge <br />acts of heroism and express appreciation therefor; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Aha, individually, collectively, and in a <br />representative capacity for the citizens of this fine City, commend <br />STEPHEN CUNNINGHAM for his actions on December 9, 1970, to <br />wit: making entry through a window of the burning apartment and <br />aiding in the rescue of the occupant, thereby saving her life; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that acknowledgment and <br />appreciation be proclaimed for this unselfish act which resulted in <br />the saving of a life notwithstanding the apparent danger to his own. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of January <br />19 71 . <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
