<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />applications of Glenn Young, Jr., Wendell Edward Losh, Herman Cecil
<br />Collins, Robert W. Raymond, Amos R. Nance and S. Preston Moore, to
<br />
<br />drive taxicabs, were received, filed and granted.
<br />.
<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />communication from the State Highway Engineer advising that adoption
<br />of a freeway routing in Orange County betw~.en Han~en Street and the
<br />Santa And Freeway is being considered, was received, filed and the
<br />Clerk instructed to notify the Division of Highways that the City of
<br />Santa Aha requests a public hearing be held in regard to this matter.
<br />Communication was read from Attorney H. Walter Stelner on behalf of
<br />the First Congregational Church requesting reconsideration of the
<br />Councilts decision denying ~he Detition for exclusion of the 6hu~ch
<br />property in Vehicle Parking District No. l, and on motion of Council-
<br />man McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the communication was
<br />
<br />received ~and filed.

<br />of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, to

<br />conduct a procession on December 5th, from ~:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
<br />through the streets of Central Avenue, Orange Avenue, Adams Street an~
<br />Halladay Street, was received, filed and action of the Acting Chief of
<br />Police in granting the permit was approved.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />Certificate of the Clerk, certifying that the petition filed to form
<br />a Parking District, has the requisite number of qualified signers
<br />representing .31179% of the total assessed value of all land in the
<br />District, was received, filed and further action deferred for two wee~
<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />Certificate of the Clerk, certifying that 95.3h% of the area is rep-
<br />resented by the sixteen persons who signed the petition requesting the
<br />extension of the City sewerage facilities from their p. resent terminus
<br />on Roe Drive to West Orange Street paralleling the we~t side of North
<br />Main Street, was received, filed and the Department of Public Works
<br />authorized to prepare the plans and specifications.

<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Larsen
<br />seconded by McBride and carried, the request of Santa Ana's Saving
<br />Center that a one-hour parking zone be established on 12th Street
<br />between Main and Bush Streets, was denied.

<br />On recommendation of the committe.e and on motion of Councilman Larsen
<br />seconded by McBride and carried, the request of Department of Employm
<br />that a pedestrian cross-w61k be ~nstalled in front of the premises at
<br />
<br /> 701 North Flower Street, was denied.

<br />A petition was read signed by one hundred fifty-one members of the
<br />Santiago School P.T.A. requesting that a four-way stop be installed at
<br />the intersection of Santa Clara Avenue and Baker Street, and on motion
<br />of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the petition ws
<br />received, filed and recommendation of the committee approved.' The.~
