<br />Drive and a portion of West Orange Road, was approved subject, to the
<br />filing of bond in the sum of $82,060.00 approved by the Attorney and
<br />agreement covering improvements was ordered signed.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, Map
<br />of Tract No. 2385, submitted by Louis B. Minter, and bond in the sum
<br />of $16,500.00, were approved for the dedication of Eastwood Avenue
<br />and Fourteenth Street, and agreement covering improvements was order-
<br />
<br />ed signed.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried,
<br />proper official was authorized to execute assignment of Lease No.
<br />t2630 of the Pacific Electric Railway Company covering spur track
<br />near the Joint Outfall Sewer, and Clerk instructed to forward Lease
<br />to the County Sanitation DietrDct.

<br />On motion of Councilman Lateen, seconded by McBride and carried, the
<br />Mayor was authorized to execute agreement and equipment inventor~
<br />with the State of California for temporary transfer and use of Civil
<br />
<br />Defense Fire Apparatus No. 39.

<br />On motion of Councilman Lateen, seconded by McBride and carried,
<br />proper officials were authorized to execute agreement dated December
<br />6th, 1955, with Southland Est atee Inc., to construct a~ electric sigr
<br />and pole and four 4~x8~ approved signs at 1001 W. 17th Street, which
<br />will extend over and upon the 50~ set-back line.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Lateen and carried,
<br />proper officials were authorized to execute agreement dated December
<br />6th, 1955, with Standard Oil Company, to construct an 41ectric sign
<br />and pole at 1002 North Main Street, which will extend over and upon
<br />
<br />the 45~ set-back line.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Lateen and carriedl the
<br />
<br />request of James Van Tassel for permission to erect $'x8t unlighted
<br />directional siEne at 1315 E. let Street, 1325 E. let Street, 2527
<br />South Main Street, 25~1 South Main Street and 1722 W. First Street,
<br />for the Travel Lodge Motel, also for l0~ x 12' unlighted signs for
<br />Lorenz Jewelers, 103 W. Fourth Street, such signs to be placed a few
<br />
<br />feet within the set back line, was denied.

<br />On motion of Councilman Lateen, seconded by McBride and carried,
<br />proper officials were authorize~ to execute agreement dated December
<br />~th, 1955, with Winston Brothers Company, for the removal of sand
<br />from the channel of the San~a Ana River.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Lateen and carried,
<br />communication and Resolution No. 1222 from the City of Orange advisin
<br />of proposed annexation of certain real property was received, filed
<br />and Clerk instructed to advise the City of Orange that the City of
<br />
<br /> Santa Ana has no objection to the proposed annexation.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />communication from Everett E. Parks, Architect, offering his services
<br />as Architect for the pro~osed Fire Station on West 17th Street was
<br />referred to the Manager.
