RESOLUTION 71-19 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE <br />PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE <br />ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN ~3NICIPAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition <br />and construction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, <br />to wit: <br /> <br /> PROPOSITION A - CITY OF SANTA ANA PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENT BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana <br />incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal <br />sum of $17,000,000 for the acquisition and <br />construction by said city of the following <br />municipal improvements (which have been approved <br />by the City Planning Commission and by the City <br />Council as constituting a City Plan): additions, <br />improvements and widening of street system <br />throughout the city including street lighting <br />and other facilities therefor; additions and <br />improvements to the storm drainage system of <br />the city; additions, improvements and replace- <br />ments of the sanitary sewer system of the city <br />including trunk and connecting sewers; additions and <br />improvements to the fire protection system of <br />the city including fire stations, additions to <br />the fire alarm system and other fire fighting <br />facilities including additional fire station <br />sites in various areas of the city and <br />including for all of the foregoing land, <br />furniture, equipment, facilities and all other <br />property necessary therefor? <br /> <br /> That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is <br />$17,000,000.00. That said municipal improvement requires an <br />expenditure greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual <br />tax levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, <br />purposes and powers of said city. <br /> <br /> 2. That the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition <br />and construction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, <br />to wit: <br /> <br /> PROPOSITION B - CITY OF SANTA ANA PARKS AND <br />RECREATION BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana <br />incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal <br />sum of $4,900,000 for the acquisition and <br />construction by said city of the following <br />municipal improvement, to wit: development <br />of the central city park and the establishment <br />and development of neighborhood parks, mini-parks <br />and community recreation centers throughout the <br />city including sites therefor and for the <br />foregoing equipment, facilities and all other <br />property necessary t~refor? <br /> <br /> That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement <br />is $4,900,000.00. That said municipal improvement requires an <br />expenditure greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual <br />tax levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, <br />purposes and powers of said city. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
