RESOLUTION 71-20 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE WRITTEN ARGUMENTS FOR CITY MEASURES WHEREAS, an election is to be held in the City of Santa Ana on April 6, 1971, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said city the following city measures: PROPOSITION A - CITY OF SANTA ANA PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $17,000,000 for the acquisition and construction by said city of the following municipal improvements (which have been approved by the City Planning Commission and by the City Council as constituting a City Plan): additions, improvements and widening of street system throughout the city including street lighting and other facilities therefor; additions and improvements to the storm drainage system of the city; additions, improvements and replacements of the sanitary sewer system of the city including trunk and connecting sewers; additions and improvements to the fire protection system of the city including fire stations, additions to the fire alarm system and other fire fighting facilities including additional fire station sites in various areas of the city and including for all of the foregoing land, furniture, equipment, facilities and all other property necessary therefor? PROPOSITION B - CITY OF SANTA ANA PARKS AND RECREATION BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $4,900,000 for the acquisition and construction by said city of the following municipal improvement, to wit: development of the central city park and the establishment and development of neigtkborhood parks, mini-parks and community recreation centers throughout the city including sites therefor and for the foregoing equip- ment, facilities and all other property necessary therefor? NOW, THEI{EFOBE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE ~ ORDER as follows: Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of said city, hereby authorizes COUNCILMEN WADE HERRIN, HARRY K. YAMAMOT0, JERRY M. PATTERSON, RAY VILLA, and MAYOR LORIN GRISET, menfoers of said body, to file written arguments for PROPOSITION A; and does further authorize COUNCILMEN JERKY M. PATTERSON, RAY VILLA, HARRY K, YAMAMOTO, VEP~NON S. EVANS, and MAYOR LORIN GRISET, members of said body, to file written arguments for PROPOSITION B, in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said arguments until and including the date fixed by the Clerk of the Council after which no arguments for or against said city measures may be submitted to said Clerk.
