RESOLUTION 71-34 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF SANTA AA!A DECLARING THE RESULTS OF T~IE CANVASS OF ELECTION RETUP, NS BY THE CLERK OF THE SPECIAL BOND ELECTION HELD APRIL ~, 1971 WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. a special bond election to be held in the City of April 6, 1971; and Ns-1069 called Santa Ana on WHEREAS, the bond propositions voted upon at said special bond election were as follows, to wit: PROPOSITION A - CITY OF SANTA ANA PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $t7,000,b00 for the acquisition and construction by said city of the following municipal improvements (which have been approued by the City Planning Commission and by the City Council as constituting a City Plan): additions, improvements and widening of street system throughout the cityl including street lighting and other facilities therefor!; additions and improvements to the storm drainage systemi of the city; additions, improvements and replacements of the sanitary sewer system of the city including trunk and connecting sewers; additions and improvements to the fir~ ~rotection system of the city including fire stations, a~dltions to the fire alarm system and other fire fightingl facilities including additional fire station sites in various areas of the city and including for all of the foregoing land, furniture, equipment, facilities and all othe~ property necessary therefor? PROPOSITION B - CITY OF SANTA ANA PARKS AND, RECREATION BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bbnded indebtedness in the principal sum of $4,900,0b0 for the acquisition and construct~on by said city of ~he following municipal improvement, to wit: development o!f the central city park and the establishment and development of neighborhood parks, mini-parks and community recreation centers throughout the city including sites therefor and for the foregoing equipment, facilities and all other property necessary therefor? WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22932.5 of the! Elections Code of the State of California, the canvass was orderedi to be made by the Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana ih Ordinance NS-1069; and WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Council has certi'fied the results of the canvass to this City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the city of Santa Ana, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: SECTION 1. The statement of the result of the election for Propositions A and B is set forth on the attached Exhibit A of the canvass of the returns of the special bond eilection and the absentee votes cast thereat as determined by the canvass of the City Clerk. -1-
