Lateen <br /> <br />Chandler <br /> <br />Each member of t~e City Council having received copies of the Minutes <br />of February 21st and February 28th, 1955, reading Of the Minutes was <br />dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded <br />by Dahl and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Bid acceptance <br />Approximately 1650 <br />tons plant mix <br />stree~ surfacing <br /> <br />The tabulation of bids was submitted for the furnishing of approximately <br />1,650 tons plant mix street surfacing, in accordance with Specification <br />NO. 488-4, as follows: <br /> <br />S~xlly-Miller Contracting Company: <br />To be delivered in Zone 2-B. <br />540 tons (approx.) plant mix to be truck spread <br />No. 4 maximum, 200-300 paving asphalt <br />460 tons (approx.) plant mix, barber green spread, <br />3/8" maximum 150-200 paving asphalt <br />170 tons (approx.) plant mix, barber green spread, <br />3/4" maximum 150-200 paving asphal~ <br />To be delivered in Zone 4-A. <br />160 tons (approx.) plant mix, t~uck spread, <br />No. 4 maximum, 200-300 paving asphalt <br />320 ~ons (approx.) plant mix, barber green spread, <br />3/8" maximum, 150-200 paving asphal$ <br />At the total price of $6,362.10. <br /> <br />at $3.38 per ton <br />at $4.19 per ton <br />at $3.99 per ton <br /> <br />at $3.49 per ton <br /> <br />at $$.29 per ton <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, ~he <br /> <br />recommendation of the committee was approved and the bid of Sully- <br />Miller Contracting Company, in the total sum of $6,362.10, was <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Ebell SooleSy <br /> <br />accepted. <br /># <br />Communications were read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />granting of variance to permit the use of property at 711 Mortimer <br />S~reet as a private parking lot for the Ebell members, subject to the <br />conditions (1) that ~he entire area be blacktopped (2) that one <br /> <br />additional driveway exit be provided on the front of the lot (3) that <br /> <br />a solid fence, not less than 5 feet high, be erected and maintained <br /> <br />beginning at the setback line~ and from the Department of Public <br /> <br />Works that replacement of broken sidewalk is needed. On motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation <br /> <br />of the Planning Commission~was approved subject to conditions one and <br /> <br />three as outlined in ~he Planning Commission letter with the exception <br /> <br /> <br />
