RESOLUTION NO. 71- 118 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE <br />PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR EACH <br />CRAFT, OR TYPE OF WORKMAN, OR MECHANIC NEEDED <br />FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS, IN THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does find and <br />determine that public convenience and necessity require the acquisition of <br />materials, plant, labor and services for public works projects in the City of <br />Santa Aha, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California <br />requires that the City Council ascertain and determine the general prevailing <br />rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and overtime work on public <br />works and improvements in the locality in which the work is to be performed, <br />for each craft or type of workman, laborer or mechanic needed for the execution <br />of such public works contracts and the making of such public improvements, and <br />for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment and <br />performing all work necessary for the execution and completion of said public <br />works contracts or improvements. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha that, in accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor <br />Code of the State of California, the City Council has ascertained and does <br />hereby determine the general prevailing rate of hourly wages, and rates for <br />legal holidays and overtime work on public works and improvements in the City <br />of Santa Aha, in the locality in which such work is to be performed, for each <br />craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic needed for the execution of <br />public works contracts, and that said prevailing rates so determined are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />CLASSIFICATION <br /> <br />HOURLY RATE <br /> <br />CARPENTERS <br /> <br />Carpenter .......................... $ 6.33 <br />Head Rockslinger ...................... 6.56 <br />Pile Driver Foreman .................... 7.06 <br />Pile Driver Man--Bridge or Dock Carpenter & Cable Splicer. 6.46 <br />Pneumatic Nailer or Power Stapler ....... 6.58 <br />Rockslinger ....................... 6.44 <br />Saw Filer ............... 6.41 <br />Shingler ......................... 6.46 <br />Table Power Saw Operator ............ 6.43 <br /> <br />CEMENT MASONS <br /> <br />Cement Mason Journeyman ............... <br />Cement Mason (magnesite, magnesite-terrazo and mastic <br /> composition, Epoxy, Dex-0-Tex) ....... <br />Cement Mason Floating and Troweling Machine Operator . <br />Clary and similar type of Screed Operator. . . <br />Cttrb and Gutter Machine Operator (cement only) <br />Grinding Machine Operator (all types) ....... <br />Jackson Vibratory and similar type Screed Operator . <br />Scoring Machine Operator .............. <br /> <br />$ 5.77 <br /> <br />5.89 <br />6.02 <br />5.77 <br />5.77 <br />5.77 <br />5.77 <br />5.77 <br /> <br /> <br />
