RESOLUTION 72-3 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF GRAND A~rENUE <br />NORTH OF MC FADDEN AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, that portion of Grand Avenue north of McFadden <br />Avenue is no longer necessary for present or prospective street <br />purposes, and the Department of Public Works and the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Santa Ana have recommended that a <br />public hearing be set on the question of vacating said right of <br />way; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha hereby approves the map attached hereto <br />and orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution <br />in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is <br />hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries of the right <br />of way proposed to he vacated; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation <br />Act of 1941 (Section 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets <br />and Highway Code) that portion of Grand Avenue north of McFadden <br />Avenue. Said right of way proposed to be vacated lies in the City <br />of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, and is <br />described as: <br /> <br />That portion of Section 17, Township 5 South, Range 9 <br />West in the land allotted to N.O. Stafford and C. Tustin, <br />in the City of Santa Ana, as described in the Final Decree <br />of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Aha, which <br />was entered September 12, 1868 in Book "B", Page 410 of <br />Judgments of the District Court of the 17th Judicial <br />District in and for Los Angeles County, California, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />All that portion of said Section 17 bounded Easterly by <br />the East line of Grand Avenue, formerly McClay Street, as <br />described in deed recorded March 29, 1890, in Book 7, Page <br />206 of Deeds, records of said Los Angeles County and <br />bounded Westerly by the following described line; <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Grand <br />Avenue and McFadden Avenue as said intersection is shown <br />on a map filed in Book 30, Page 28 of Parcel Maps; thence <br />along said center line of McFadden Avenue North 88° 39' <br />00" East 52.22 feet; thence North 1° 21' 00" West 42.00 <br />feet to a point on a non-tangent curve concave North- <br />easterly and having a radius of 25.00 feet, a radial to <br />said point bears South 1° 21' 00" East and to the true <br />point of beginning; thence along said curve Northwesterly <br />39.95 feet through a central angle of 91° 33' 55"; thence <br />tangent to said curve North 0° 12' 55" East 131.03 feet to <br />the beginning of a tangent curve concave Easterly and having <br />a radius of 950.00 feet; thence along said curve Northerly <br />87.02 feet through a central angle of 5° 14' 54"; thence <br />tangent to said curve North 5° 27' 49" East 217.35 feet to <br />the beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly and having <br />a radius of 1050.00 feet; thence along said curve Northerly <br />102.06 feet through a central angle of 5° 34' 09" to a <br />point of tangency with a line parallel with and Easterly <br />57.00 feet from said center line of Grand Avenue; thence <br />along said parallel line North 0° 06' 20" West 492.20 feet. <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
