RESOLUTION 72-9 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND WRIGHT N.E. ANNEX" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized the City Council of the City of Santa Ama, California, to annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, hereby finds and declares that said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beg~nnirig at a point North 00° 00' 47" West 25.00 feet and South 89° 59' 13" West 38.39 feet from the intersection of center line of Santa Clara Avenue and Wright Street as said intersection is shown on a map of survey recorded in Book 32, Page 38 of Records of Survey, in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, said point being on the Easterly line of the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana as established by the Santa Clara and Wright Northwest Annex by Ordinance Number NS-584, said point also being an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana as established by the Santa Clara and Wright S.E. Annex by Ordinance Number NS-709; thence North 89° 58' 20" East along last mentioned City of Santa Ana boundary and along the North line of Santa Clara Avenue as shown on said survey recorded in Book 32, Page 38 of Records of Surveys, a distance of 450.89 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said City boundary; thence due South along said City boundary, a distance of 25.00 feet to the center line of said Santa Clara Avenue; thence departing from said City of Santa Aha boundary North 89° 59' 43" East along the center line of said Santa Clara Avenue, a distance of 415.75 feet to an angle point on the existing boundary of the City of Santa gna as established by the Fairhaven and Cambridge Southeast Annex by Ordinance Number NS-576; thence North 89° 59' 43" East along last mentioned City boundary and along said center line of Santa Clara Avenue, a distance of 7. 63 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence North 00° 03' 01" West along said City boundary, a distance of 846.76 feet; thence departing from said City of Santa Aha boundary South 89° 59' 43" West 979.29 feet to the Southerly terminus of the most Westerly line of said survey, recorded in Book 32, Page 38 of Records of Survey; thence South 00° 03' 07" East 661.78 feet along the Southerly extension of the most Westerly line of said survey, to an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana aS established b,y said~ Santa Clara and Wright Northwest Annex, Ordinance Number NS-584; thence North 89° 59' 13" East along mentioned City boundary, a distance of 105.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South 00° 03' 07" East along said City boundary, a distance of 160.00 feet to the point of beginning.
