RESOLUTION 72-11 ORDERING THE VACATION OF <br />ALLEY SOUTH OF WARNER AVENUE AND EAST OF <br />BRISTOL STREET RESERVING EASEMENT FOR <br />SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY AND <br />SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public <br />Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, <br />Resolution 72-4 was adopted giving notice of intention to <br />vacate that certain alley south of Warner Avenue and east <br />of Bristol Street, and RESERVING THEREIN an' easement for <br />Southern California Gas Company and Southern California <br />Edison Company. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 7, 1972, a public hearing was duly <br />heldon on said vacation of alley on posted notices and the <br />publication of said Resolution 72-4; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby finds that above mentioned alley is <br />unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and <br />does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating said alley <br />and RESERVING THEREIN an easement for Southern California Gas <br />Company and Southern California Edison Company. cSaid right of <br />way lies within the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, <br />State of California, described as follows: <br /> <br />Ail that portion of the West half of Section 25, <br />Township 5 South, Range 10 West in the land allotted <br />to James McFadden in the City of Santa Ana as described <br />in the Final Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago <br />de Santa Ana, which was entered September 12, 1868 in <br />Book "B", Page 410 of Judgments of the District Court <br />of the 17th Judicial District in and for Los Angeles <br />County, California, described as follows: <br /> <br />The Northerly 10.00 feet of the following described <br />property. <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Bristol Street, <br />80.00 feet in width, as described in deed to Orange <br />County, recorded June 1, 1949 in Book 1851, Page 303, <br />Official Records, Orange County, California, distant <br />South 0° 53' 33" West 1540.02 feet from the Northwest <br />corner of said Section 25; thence South 89° 22' 10" <br />East 415.71 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, <br />concave Northerly having a radius of 600.00 feet; thence <br />Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 7° <br />42' 10", an arc distance of 80.66 feet; thence South 0° <br />38' 16" West 785.41 feet; thence North 89° 22' 10" West <br />499.60 feet to said center line of Bristol Street; <br />thence North 0° 53' 33" East 780.00 feet to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />Excepting therefrom that portion lying Westerly of a line <br />parallel with and distant 50.00 feet Easterly, measured <br />at right angles, from said center line of Bristol Street. <br /> <br />Reserving from the above described land an easement and <br />right of way to construct, place, operate, inspect, main- <br />tain, repair, replace, remove, and enlarge lines of pipes <br />and other structures, equipment and fixtures at any time <br />and from time to time, for the operation of gas lines as <br />the Southern California Gas Company may required; <br /> <br /> <br />
