RESOLUTION NO. 72- 31 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA <br />ANA AUTHORIZING CONDE~ATION OF REAL <br />PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENING OF SEVENTEENTH <br />STREET FROM MAIN TO ROSS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide for a more orderly flow <br />of traffic on Seventeenth Street in the City of Santa Ana <br />it has become necessary to widen and improve said street <br />from Main to Ross Street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that <br />the public interest and necessity require that Seventeenth <br />Street be widened and improved from Main to Ross Street to <br />provide for a more orderly flow of east-west traffic, and <br />further require that said City do have, take, and acquire <br />for street purposes that certain real property in the City <br />of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, des- <br />cribed as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />The Northerly 27.00 feet of the Westerly <br />60.50 feet of Lot 20 of the Barton Tract <br />in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange <br />State of California, as per map recorded <br />in Book 6, Page 18 of Miscellaneous Maps, <br />in the office of the County Recorder of <br />said County. <br /> <br />Excepting therefrom that portion previously <br />dedicated to the City of Santa Ana for street <br />purposes. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded <br />Northerly by the Southerly line of Parcel <br />1 above described; bounded Westerly by the <br />West line of said Lot 20; bounded Southerly <br />by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly, <br />having a radius of 25.00 feet and being <br />tangent to said Westerly and Northerly boun- <br />daries. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is here-~ <br />by ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa <br />Ana to condemn said property necessary to be taken and to do <br />all things necessary to prosecute said action to final deter- <br />mination; <br /> <br /> That work is to begin immediately, and it is necessary <br />for the City of Santa Aha to have possession of the above <br />described property as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20%h day of <br /> March , 1972. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
