Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br />Courtney R. Chandler <br />William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes <br />of April 13th, April 14th, April 15th, April 18th, April 19th and <br />April 20th, 1955, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and <br />approved on motion of <br /> <br />In Re <br />Hearing <br />"Wiegand and <br />Matthews Annex" <br />Ordinance Declaring <br />Annexation <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the <br /> <br /> City <br /> <br />of certain uninhabited territory designated "Wiegand and Matthews <br />Annex", and no protests being received; on motion of Councilman Markel, <br />seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of that <br /> certain territory designated 'Wiegand and <br /> Matthews Annex~" <br /> <br />In Re <br />Hearing <br />Establishing setback <br />lines both sides of <br />Memory Lane west of <br />Flower Street <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br />This being the date set for hearing protests on the establishment of <br />setback lines on both sides of Memory Lane between Flower Street and <br />the westerly City Limits, 60 feet from the surveyed center line, <br />measured at right angles, and no protests being received; on motion <br /> <br />of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following <br /> <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance establishing setback lines on <br /> both sides of Memory Lane west of Flower <br /> Street" <br /> <br />In Re <br />Resol. No. 55-116 <br />Abasement of weeds <br />(hearing) <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />NO written or oral protests having been received, and the Council <br />having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Reinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Reso- <br /> <br />lution entitled: <br /> <br />"A Resolution ordering the Street Superintendent <br />to abate the public nuisance heretofore declared <br />by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, to- <br />wit: Weeds wflich bear seeds of a wingy or downy <br />nature and attain such a large growth as to become <br />a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and <br />dangerous, growing upon certain streets, sidewalks <br />and private property in the City of Santa Aha, by <br />having the weeds referred to removed" <br /> <br />was considered, designated Resolution No. 55-116 and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />In Re <br />Hear'lng <br />Reclassify property <br />northwest corner of <br />Edinger and Bristol <br />F. Joe Hersh~ser <br />Ordinance <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br /> Courtney R. Chandler <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the amendment application of <br /> <br />F. Joe Hershiser; no protests were received against the reclassification <br /> <br />of property at the northwest corner of the intersection of Edinger and <br /> <br />Bristol Streets, from the R-1 District to the C-1 District. On motion <br /> <br />of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following <br /> <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code creating changes in district <br />boundaries and amending Sheet No. 46 of the <br />districting map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
