RESOLUTION NO. 72~106 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CLOSING OF <br />WALNUT STREET BETWEEN FLOWER AND PARTON <br />FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M. ON SCHOOL <br />DAYS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, students attending Santa Aha High School traverse <br />from the main body of the campus to temporary class rooms located <br />on the north side of Walnut Street between Flower and Parton,' <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such temporary classrooms are in use during the school <br />year from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the safety of children and other persons attending <br />school requires that traffic on said Walnut Street be prohibited <br />during such school hours, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to close such street <br />during school hours, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That Walnut Street between <br />Flower and Parton shall be closed to vehicular traffic during the <br />hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days and during such <br />times as said temporary class rooms located on the north side of <br />Walnut Street are in operation. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Director of Public Works <br />authorized and empowered to cause the erection of barricades and <br />the posting of signs and to supervise in general the time and <br />manner of the closing of said street. <br /> <br />is <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council finds that such <br />closing of Walnut Street is necessary for the protection of persons <br />attending said school or school grounds. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the <br />day of 0c%ober , 1972. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />CLERE OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
