City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall June 20, 1955. 7:50 P.M. Present: Abeent: Councilmen Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl J. Ogden Markel, Courtney R. Chaad!er Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of June 6th, 1955, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried. In Re Hearing "memmer Annsx" Ordinancs dsc!aring annexation This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the Cit of certain uninhabited territory designated "Lemmer Annex" and no protests being received; on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Hei~ly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated ~Lemmer Annex~'' In Re Hearing ~Spurgeon Memorial Annex" - Ordinance declaring annexation was introduced,, considered and placed on file for second reaeing. . This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain uninhabited territory designated "Spurgeon Memorial Annex", ~nd no protests being re~ived; on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Spurgeon Memorial Annex~'' In Re Hearing "English Anne×" Ordinance declaring annexation was introduced, considered and placed on file for second r ea~ing. This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain uninhabited territory designated "English Annex", and no protests being received; on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated ~English AnnexTM In Re Hearing Vacate alley in Tract No. 159 Goetz ~t. between Qypress and Orange Resol. No. 55-184 was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. , This being the date set for hearing to vacate, abandon and close an unnamed alley in Tract No. 159 through the block bounded by Cypress Street on the west, Goetz Street on the north and Orange Avenue on the east; no written or oral protests were received. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Council. man Heinly, seconded by ~erome and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 55-184 ordering vacation, abandonment and closing of an unnamed alley in Tract No. 159" was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome, Courtney R. Chandler None Milford W. Dab!
