RESOLUTION 73-5 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO PERMIT THE COUNTY <br />CLERK OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES <br />TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA RELATING TO THE CONDUCT <br />OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN <br />SAID CITY ON APRIL 3, 1973 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in <br />the City of Santa Ana, on April 3rd, 1973; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in <br />relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and <br />polling place inserts to the regustered voters of the City, and <br />it will facilitate such mailing if the County Clerk of the County <br />of Orange will prepare and furnish the City the imprinting of the <br />names and addresses of the regustered voters of said City on I.B.M. <br />polling place inserts furnished by the City, and after bursting the <br />forms, will insert the polling place insert, sample ballot, argu- <br />ments, and statements of qualifications, if any, into envelopes, <br />all to be furnished by the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service <br />shall be paid by the City of Santa Ana; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: That pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City <br />Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County <br />to permit the County Clerk to prepare and furnish to said City for <br />use in conducting said Election to be held on April 3, 1973, the <br />imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters of <br />said City on I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the City <br />and after bursting the forms to insert the polling place insert <br />sample ballots, arguments, and statements of qualifications, if <br />any, into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City shall reimburse <br />said County for services performed when the work is completed and <br />upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the council is <br />hereby directed to forward without delay a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to said Board of Supervisors and to said County Clerk. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of February, <br />1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
