RESOLUTION 73-14 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULATING THE USE OF <br />CITY BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FACILITIES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana provides re- <br />creational and park facilities to the children and <br />adults participating in City Park and Recreational <br />activities, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department <br />of the City of Santa Ana hereinafter referred to as <br />"Department" by Charter provision Section 706 is <br />delegated the authority and responsibility to develop <br />and maintain adequate park and recreational facilities <br />and programs hereby declares the following procedures <br />to ensure maximum participation, efficiency and order- <br />liness in the conduct thereof. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> (1) The "Department" shall have management and <br />control pursuant to Section 706 of the City Charter over <br />scheduling baseball and softball facilities in City or <br />City used Recreation facilities. The "Department" shall <br />provide, interpret and enforce all rules and regulations <br />in said recreation premises. <br /> <br /> (2) The Superintendent of Recreation or his <br />authorized delegate shall represent the City on all <br />sports activity boards and committees of respective <br />athletic groups participating in Santa Ana recreation- <br />al activities. <br /> <br /> (3) This program is provided to fulfill the <br />athletic/recreational needs of the youth and citizens <br />of this City and whereas conflict may arise, the <br />Superintendent of Recreation establishes the following <br />order of priority for the use of said facilities: <br /> <br />1. City of Santa Ana Parks and Recreation <br /> Programs <br /> <br />Leagues, activities, or games involving <br />Santa Ana sponsored teams and/or par- <br />ticipants. <br /> <br />Leagues, activities, or games involving <br />predominately Santa Ana sponsored teams <br />and/or participants. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Leagues, activities, or games involving <br />at a minimum one Santa Ana sponsored team <br />and/or participant per game. <br /> <br /> <br />
