RESOLUTION NO. 73-16 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING DESCRIPTION OF PARCEL NO. 5 INCLUDED IN RESOLUTION 72-40 FORMERLY PASSED APRIL 17, 1972. WHEREAS, in order to provide for a more orderly flow of traffic on First Street in the City of Santa Ana, it has become necessary to widen and improve said street from Townsend to Hesperian Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby amend its Resolution 72-40 passed April 17, 1972 as to Parcel No. 5 only and does hereby find and declare that the public interest and neces- sity require that First Street be widened and improved from Townsend to Hesperian Street to provide for a more orderly flow of east-west traffic, and further require that said City do have, take and acquire for street purposes that cer- tain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: PARCEL 5: That certain strip of land of variable width being a portion of the land allotted to Julian Chavez, in the City of Santa Ana, as described in the Final Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, which was entered September 12, 1868 in Book "B", Page 410 of Judgments of the District Court of the 17th Judicial District in and for Los Angeles County, California said certain strip being bounded Southerly by the South line of the following des- cribed parcel: Beginning at a point distant 1675.28 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Sullivan Street and distant 50.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of First Street; thence from said point of beginning Northerly, parallel with said center line of Sulli- van Street, a distance of 290.43 feet; thence North 0° 25' 30" West a distance of 172.00 feet; thence Northerly parallel with said center line of Sullivan Street, a distance of 89.89 feet to a point in the Westerly extension of the center line of Third Street in the City of Santa Ana; thence Easterly along said extension of Third Street a distance of 296.25 feet to the Westerly line of Townsend Street, in the City of Santa Ana, being the West line of Par- cel 1 as described in the deed to the City of Santa Ana recorded July 5, 1957 in Book 3964, Page 119 of Official Records, Orange County, California; thence Southerly along said Westerly line of Townsend Street a distance of 552.32 feet to a point on a line parallel with and distant 50.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from said center line of First Street; thence Westerly along said parallel line a distance of 295.25 feet to the point of begin- ing, and also being bounded Westerly and Easterly by the Westerly and Easterly lines of said parcel above described, and bounded Northerly by the following described line:
