English <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing on the amendment application of <br /> Leroy Sprague for the reclassification of property located at the <br /> southeast corner of Bristol and Cubbon Streets, three lots facing <br /> Bristol Street, from the R-1 to the C-1 District; no protests were <br /> received. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and car- <br /> Pied, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code creating changes in district <br /> boundaries and amending Sheet No. 34 of the <br /> dist.ricting map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> On motion of Councilman .Dab1, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the varlanc <br /> of Emmet C. Rogers was granted to decrease the setback requirements on <br /> property at the northeast corner af Rosewood Avenue and 21st Street, <br /> <br /> as follows: 20' setback from property line on Rosewood Avenue, 15t <br /> <br /> from property line on 21st Street and 8~ rear yard in the R-1 Distrio <br /> <br />-COmmunications were z-eadf{-em'~he Planning Commission recommending <br /> <br /> granting of Variance of Robert A. and .Werdna G. Livezey to permit con- <br /> <br /> version of a single-family residence on property at 1602 North <br /> <br /> Santiago Avenue, int° ~hre'e apartments, with twa-car garage, and ample <br /> space for off-street parking, in the R-1 District, and from the Depart <br /> ~e~t:of Public Works that certain improvements are needed. On motion <br /> of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, the recommendation <br /> of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted subject <br /> <br /> to the conditions of the Department of Public Works. <br /> <br />.On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br /> <br />]recommendation of ~he Planning commission was approved and the varlanc <br />[of George J. Wanger .granted to decrease rear yard requirements from <br />'10~ to 3' on property at 416 Sout~ Main Street, in order to construct <br /> <br /> three garage apartments, in the C-1 District. <br /> # <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, ~econded by Markel and carried, the <br />recommendation of th~ Planning Commission was approved and the varianc, <br />of Santa Aha Board of Education granted to permit the location of 'M <br />new school north of 17th Street, between Grand Avenue and Lynwood. <br />Avenue, in the R-1 District, subject to the condition that Greenwood <br />Avenue be ext.ended to the east for.fu'ture connection with McClay Street <br />Communication of the Planning Commission was read submi~tlng Resolutio~ <br /> <br />No. 8l~4 recommending the reclassification of property located on the <br /> requested by Richard Rmnd <br /> east side of Bristol Street between Delhi Road and Talbert Street, as/ <br /> <br />from R'I District to C-2 and M-1 Districts, as follows: All of Tract <br />No. 2595 in C-2 District and all of Tract No. 2592 in M-1 District. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, a notice <br />was ordered published setting the date Of public hearing as September <br /> <br />6th, 1955 · <br /># <br />Communication of the Planning Commission was read submitting Resolutio: <br />No. 855 recommending the reclassification of property located on the <br />south side of.17th Street, between King Street and the Santa Aha River <br />with a frontage of approximately 175~ on King Street and 5~0~ on 17th <br />Street, from the R-1 District to the C-1 District, as requested by <br /> <br /> <br />
