Chandler <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen William Jerome <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, <br /> <br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the follow-i! <br /> <br />ing Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. NS-130 amending Section 11 of <br />Article VI of the Fire Code of the City of <br />Santa Aha to regulate underground storage <br />and pumps in service Stations" <br /> <br />was considered and adopted as an emergency Ordinance by the following <br /> <br />vote: <br /> <br />In Re <br />Reso. Chandler <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen William Jerome <br />. <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br /> <br />on motion of Councilman Marks!, seconded by Dahl and carried, the fol- <br /> <br />lowing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 55-226 accepting Grant Deed" <br /> <br />from Otto A. and Sophia L. Chandler <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen William Jerome <br />. <br />On motion of Councilman Daht, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br /> <br />matter of the agreement with O~Melveny and Myers regarding employment <br /> <br />In Re <br />Agreement <br />County of Orange <br /> (Improve Dyer Road) <br /> <br />reference revenue bond procedure, was tabled. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to execute agreement with the County of <br />Orange for the widening and improving of Dyer Road from Main Street <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />First United <br />Presbyterian Church <br /> <br />easterly to Newport Avenue.. <br /> <br />Communication was read from First United Presbyterian Church suggest- <br />ing that Donald D. Hillyard and R. Carson Smith be appointed on the <br />Parking Committee, and on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by <br /> <br />Heinly and carried, the communication was received and filed. On <br /> <br />mo~ion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the Clerk <br /> <br />was instructed to advise the Secretary that no appointments will be <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Santa Ana-Tustin <br />Community Chest <br /> <br />made at this time as the Parking District has not as yet been formed. <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br /> <br />request of Santa Ana-Tustin Community Chest for permission to place <br /> <br />pole cards on light standards throughout the shopping area on October <br /> and filed. <br />1st. and remove same November 30th, 1955, was received_/ On motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Dahl, seconded by Meinly and carried, the Clerk was directe~ <br /> <br />In Re <br />Metropolitan Water <br />District financial <br />statements <br /> <br />to advise the Secretary that the Council has an established policy <br />which prohibits the use of the light standards for such purposes. <br />On motion of CouDcilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the <br /> <br />communication from The Metropolitan Water District submitting financi~ <br /> <br />statements as of June 30th, 1955 and a statement of the amount of <br />water stored by the District and used by member municipalities, were <br /> <br />received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
