RESOLUTION NO. 73-38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE POLICE <br />CHIEF TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT <br />DISCRETIONARY FUNDS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT <br />OF JUSTICEt LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE <br />ADMINISTRATION (LEAA) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this City Council an <br />Application for Grant Discretionary Funds to the U.S. Department <br />of Justice, Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (LEAA) on <br />a proposed project to create a County Narcotics Intelligence <br />Index to coordinate prevention, control and enforcement relative <br />to narcotics and dangerous drug traffic within Orange County on a <br />County-wide basis; and that the Police Department of Santa Ana is <br />the director of such a project. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears proper and to the best interest of the <br />County that said applications for a grant be filed; <br /> <br />NOWt THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Chief of Police, City of Santa Ana be, and he <br />is hereby, authorized and directed to execute subject application. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Chief of Police, City of Santa Ana be, and he <br />is hereby, authorized and directed to transmit subject application <br />to the U.S. Department of Justice, Law Enforcement Assistance <br />Administration (LEAA) for approval. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th <br />day of April , 1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
