RESOLUTION NO. 73-43 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING A REPRESENTATIVE <br />PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE FOR THE SANTA ANA <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33385 of the California Health and Safety <br />Code, California Community Redevelopment Act, provides as <br />follows: <br /> <br />"The legislative body of a city or county <br />shall call upon the residents and existing <br />community organizations in a redevelopment <br />project area, within which a substantial <br />number of low- and moderate-income families <br />are to be displaced by the redevelopment <br />project to form a Project Area Committee. <br />The Project Area Committee, shall include <br />when applicable, residential owner occupants, <br />residential tenants, businessmen, and members <br />of existing organizations within the Project <br />Area. The members of the Committee shall <br />serve without compensation. <br /> <br />The legislative body shall approve a repre- <br />sentative Project Area Committee in each project <br />area within sixty (60) days after the project <br />area is selected." <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Planning Commission, at its regular <br />meeting of April 9, 1973, approved a project area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 2, 1973, the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana called upon those persons so qualified within the <br />project area to form a Project Area Committee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 27, 1973, a Project Area Committee was <br />formed consisting of residential owner occupants, residential <br />tenants, businessmen, and members of existing organizations <br />within the project area, whose names are as follows: Howard <br />Way, Albert Alves, Bob Waldron, Warren A. Schmidt, Bill Brown, <br />Jim Patterson, Dave Flaherty, Fern Zimmerman, and Jacqueline <br />Fox. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Santa Ana City Council <br />approves Howard Way, Albert Alves, Bob Waldron, Warren A. Schmidt, <br />Bill Brown, Jim Patterson, Dave Flaherty, Fern Zimmerman and <br />Jacqueline Fox as the representative Project Area Committee for the <br />City of Santa Ana Redevelopment Project Area. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of May, 1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
