RESOLUTION NO. 73-45 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA IMPLEMENTING THE <br />OMNIBUS CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREET <br />ACT FOR COMMUNITY REHABILITATION OF <br />JUVENILE OFFENDERS AND DROPOUTS THROUGH <br />COMMUNITY BASED ACTIVITIES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a <br />certain project designated Community Rehabilitation of Juvenile <br />Offenders and Dropouts through Community based Activities to be <br />funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus <br />Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-355, as amended, <br />PL 91-644, (hereafter referred to as the Safe Streets Act) admin- <br />istered by the California Council on Criminal Justice (hereafter <br />referred to as CCCJ). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager of the <br />City of Santa Ana was authorized, on its behalf, to submit the <br />attached Application for Grant for funds to CCCJ and is authorized <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the attached Grant <br />Award Contract including any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide <br />all matching funds required for said project (including any <br />extensions or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and <br />the rules and regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement Assis- <br />tance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as <br />required thereby. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant <br />shall not be used to supplant on-going <br />tures. <br /> <br />funds received hereunder <br />law enforcement expendi- <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana, the prime <br />sponsor, will delegate Operation SER with full administrative and <br />functional responsibilities in the orderly conduct of the program. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of May, <br />1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />3/88 ATTACHMENT MISSING AT TIME OF PREPARATION FOR MICROFILMING <br /> <br /> <br />
