<br />Place, from the R-1 District to the C-1 District, as requested by the

<br />Los Angeles Home Modernizing Company. On motion of Councilman Dahl,
<br />seconded by Markel and carried, a notice was ordered published setting
<br />the date of public hearing as November 7th, 1955.
<br />
<br />Communication of the Planning Commission was read submitting Resolutior
<br />No. 866 recommending the reclassification of property located on the
<br />west side of Bristol Street between Fairview and Wilshire Avenues,
<br />beginning at a point approximately 271' north of the northwest corner
<br />of Wilshire Avenue and Bristol Street, with a frontage of approximatel
<br />501~ on Bristol Street, and a depth of approximately h50~, as requeste
<br />by James R. Mitchell, from the R-1 Dist~'ict to the C-2 District. On
<br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, a notice
<br />was ordered published setting the date Of public hearing as November
<br />?th, 1955.

<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the
<br />Preliminary Map, presented by the City of Santa Ana, owner of propert~
<br />having a frontage of 156.75' on the west side of Baker Street, opposlt~
<br />Riviera Drive, a depth ~f 114.60~ and bounded on the west by the City
<br />Reservoir and consisting of 0,4lb acres,~was approved without the con-
<br />struction of sidewalks.

<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the
<br />Record of Survey Map filed by the City of Santa Ana, owner of property
<br />having a frontage of 156.75' on the west side of Baker Street, opposit~
<br />Riviera Drive, a depth of 114.60' and bounded on the west by the City
<br />ReserVoi~ and consisting of 0.h14 acres, was approved without the con-
<br />str~ction of sidewalks.

<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the
<br />
<br />Record of Survey Map filed by Otto A..and Audra Friend on prOperty
<br />located immediately north of Eighth Street and on both sides of Westwo~
<br />
<br />Avenue, was approved.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution,
<br />motion of C'ounoilman Markel, seconded by Dahl and carried, the follow
<br />lng Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 55-259 accepting Grant Deed"
<br />
<br />from Mae I. Dennis, was considered and passed by the following vote:
