RESOLUTION NO. 73-78 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING <br />THE SALARY OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, similarly to all other salaries, those of City Attorneys <br />have continued to increase over the years throughout the State of California; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Arm is now paying its City Attorney at a <br />rate below that prevalent in the State for attorneys of cities of comparable <br />size; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Santa Aha is of a caliber to <br />warrant payment well above the prevailing rate; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the salary of the City <br />Attorney should be increased to bring it into the range of currently prevalent <br />salaries for city attorneys of cities of comparable size; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the salary for the position <br />of City Attorney of the City of Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed and <br />established at $2, 900 per month. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said salary shall be paid in the same <br />manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the City are paid, <br />and that said new salary rate shall take effect and be paid from July 1, 1973. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at <br />its regular meeting held on the 16 day of July , 1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
