4,38 Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall November 21, 1955. 7:50 City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Absent: Councilmen Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl, CoUrtney R. Chandler None Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of November 7th, 1955, readin~ of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Heinty, seconded by Markel and carried, with the ex~ption of Item 8, Pa~e ~29 reference ~rantin~ o~ variance application of Gladys Meyer and Eva King which should have read "for the construction of two units on each lot", on property at 1719 and 1801 Greenleaf Street. In Re Continued hearing 1955 Edition of Uniform Building Code This being the date set for the continued hearing on the adoption of the 1955 Edition of the Uniform ~uilding Code, the Manager reported that he had a eommunication from the Orange County Builders' Associ- ation setting forth seven objections to that portion of the Ordinance pertaining to the cha~ges and use of public property. Communication was read from the Orange County Master Roofers Association requesting the adoption of an Ordinance similar to Ordinance No. 608 of the City of Fullerton regulating roofing construction and on motion of Council- man Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communication was received and filed. Mr. Howard A. Barrows stated that the Code does not cover the field and recommended that the Council adopt'a similar 0rdinan~e. Hearing closed.
