On motion of Councilman <br />Hetnly, seconded by ~er~=.~ and caa-ried, the matter was referred to the Manager and <br />C~ief of Police and if in their opinion there is a sufficient police problem to <br />enter a protest; that a request be for~d to the Departing-ut of Alcoholic Beverage <br />Control, within three days, for the purpose of filing a protest and requesting a <br />contin,~-,ce on the hearing. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Je~, seconded by Markel and carried, proper officials we~ <br />authorized to e~ecute contract dated December 5th, 1955, with Parks and Davis, for <br />architectural services, working drawings, etc., on the Corporation Yard to be <br />located on Delhi Road. <br /> <br />On rec.~-~udation of tbe Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br /> <br />HeAnly and carried, the request of Stan~-~d Oil Company for four B5 foot driveways <br />at service station located at the southwest corner of Fairview Avenue and Bristol <br />Street, was granted. <br /> <br />It w~s ~ved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, that the previous <br />deadline of December 1st, 1955, to clear the ~ley between Edinger and Pomona Street~ <br />be extended to January 1st, 1956. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Pesolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Dab1, seconded by Ne~-~y. anti,carried,, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Pesolution No. ~5-~07 concerning p&rking limitations and <br /> clArb markings in aceolwt~nce therewith" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Date w. ~e~-~y, ~; Ogden Markel, William ~erome,. <br /> <br />Noes, ~ounct 1.~u None <br />Absent, Counci~-~u None <br /> <br />The Council having ,,ne~t,~lsly waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Couucflm~, Je~, seconded by Heiniy and carried, ~.b~ following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 55-~08 declaring intention to establish <br /> setback linss on both sides of East First Street between <br /> t~- A,T.&.S.F.Railroad tracks amd Grand Avenue and <br /> abolishing setback lines beretofore fixed between G .rsnd <br /> Avenue and the easterly City l~!ts" <br /> <br />was considered aud passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
