RESOLUTION 73-115 <br />COMMENDING CONGRESSMAN RICHARD T. HANNA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Congressman RICHARD T. HANNA has been a resident of <br />Southern California for fifty years, and has been <br />educated, raised his family and built his career of <br />public service in this area; and <br /> <br />WHERBAS, <br /> <br />Congressman RICHARD T. HANNA, as a lawyer, California <br />Assemblyman and member of the United States Congress <br />representing the 34th Congressional District including <br />sections of the City of Santa Ana, has served the <br />people of this community with distinction and dedica- <br />tion throughout his public life; and <br /> <br />WHE PEAS, <br /> <br />Congressman RICHARD T. HANNA in eleven years of out- <br />standing service as a Congressman has especially <br />demonstrated his concern for the citizens of Santa <br />Ana and other cities by his compassionate sponsorship <br />and support of the PEP public employment program, <br />Operation SBR, low cost housing programs, consumer <br />protection legislation, law enforcement grants, park <br />and open space programs, and other highly successful <br />Federal programs designed to enrich the lives and <br />enhance the opportunities of many individual members <br />of the community; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br /> City of Santa Ana, by and for the citizens of Santa <br /> Aha, does hereby commend the Honorable RICHARD T. <br /> HANNA for his election to five consecutive terms in <br /> the United States Congress as Representative of the <br /> people of our City and Orange County, and for his <br /> distinguished and exemplary record of service in <br /> both the state and national legislatures, and de- <br /> clares its confidence that he will continue to serve <br /> this community and the nation with the same integrity <br /> and compassion which have been the hallmarks of his <br /> public career. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />ss <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
