Recorded December 26, 1973 <br />11:05 A.M. <br />Bk 11039 l~g 330 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 73-135 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ORDERING THE VACATION <br />OF A PORTION OF THE NORTH SIDE OF CHESTNUT <br />AVENUE FROM A POINT APPROXIMATELY 244 FEET <br />TO 487 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF <br />GRAND AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public <br />Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, <br />the City Council of the City of Santa Ana adopted Resolution <br />73-126, giving notice of intention to vacate a portion of <br />the north side of Chestnut Avenue from a point approximately <br />244 feet to 487 feet west of the center line of Grand Avenue; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution 73-126 was published and notice <br />of intention to vacate was posted as required by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 10, 1973, a public hearing was <br />duly held on said vacation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that the above named <br />portion of the north side of Chestnut Avenue from a point <br />approximately 244 feet to 487 feet west of the center line <br />of Grand Avenue is no longer necessary for present or pro- <br />spective street purposes, and does hereby make its order to <br />vacate said right of way. Said right of way lies in the City <br />of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />That portion of Chestnut Avenue, as described <br />in a deed to the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />recorded March 4, 1890, in Book 4 Page 284 of <br />Deeds, Records of Orange County, California; <br />Bounded Easterly by the Westerly boundary of <br />the land described in a deed to Gulf Oil Corp- <br />oration recorded October 1, 1964 in Book 7242 <br />Page 22 of Official Records of said County; <br />Bounded Westerly by the Easterly line of Parcel <br />3, as shown on a Map filed in Book 36 of Page <br />49 of Parcel Maps, in the office of the County <br />Recorder of said County; and Bounded Southerly <br />by a line parallel with and Northerly 41.00 <br />feet from the monumental centerline of said <br />Chestnut Avenue, as shown on a Map filed in <br />Book 75 Page 15 of Record of Surveys, in the <br />office of the County Recorder of said County. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Aha at its adjourned regular meeting held on the <br /> 10th day of December , 1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
