<br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of February 6th, 1956, readio~ of
<br />the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Dahl and carried.
<br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, that' the Council reconsider the motion
<br />on the approval of the Minutes. It was moved by Councilman Dab_l, seconded by Heinly and carried, that
<br />an amendment be made to the motion with reference to the approval of Final Map of Tract No. 2594 submitted
<br />by Rand Properties, Inc., and that said motion be corrected to read "on or before February 15th, 1956',
<br />instead of "prior to February 15t~, 1956".

<br />This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the
<br />Planning Commission initiated amendment was considered for the reclassification of
<br />property located north of 18th Street between Alone and~ King Streets, known as the
<br />"Alone Street Park Site", from the R-1 to the R-2 District. On motion of Council-
<br />
<br />man Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br />on Fourth Street
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearing of protests to abolish angle parking on Fourth
<br />Street, Ted Stedman, 209 W. Fourth Street, appeared before the Council, on behalf
<br />of a group of Fourth Street merchants, endorsing parallel parking but stated that
<br />
<br />such parking should allow four lanes of traffic and more off-street parking should
<br />
<br />be provided, such as City-owned parking lots. Communications were read from Mr.

<br />
<br />and Mrs. Fred McNeal, 703 W. Washington Avenue, opposing parallel parking on Fourth
<br />Street, and on motion of Councilman D~dfk, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />communications were received and filed. It was moved by Councilman Heinly, seconde~
<br />by Jerome and carried, that the hearing be continued until the next meeting.
<br />
<br />The Manager reported on the bids submitted for the construction of the Corporation
<br />
<br />Yard to be located on Delhi Road and stated that the low bid is over and above the
<br />
<br />amount of money allocated. On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of
<br />
<br />CounciLman Dsi~, seqonded by Markel and carried: the bids were held up until the
<br />
<br />next meeting.
