RESOLUTION NO. 73-154 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANC- ING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain streets within the City; and WHEREAS, Articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 9, Division 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California authorize a county to expend funds apportioned to it out of the Califor- nia Highway Users' Tax Fund for aid to any city for the improve- ment, construction, or repair of streets within such city; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange intends to provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the fiscal year 1974-75 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby request the Board of Super- visors of the County of Orange to allocate to the City of Santa Ana from County funds the amount of $765,000.00 in the improve- ment of certain streets, as follows: STREET PROJECT REQUESTED TYPE COST AHFP FUNDS BROADWAY OVERPASS at Santa Ana Freeway Right of Way $ 550,000 $ 275,000 FLOW-ER STREET Pine St. to Santa Ana Blvd. Construction 206,000 103,000 17TH STREET Olive Street to Ross St. Right of Way & Construction 354,000 177,000 FLOWER STREET' Civic Center Drive to 17th Street Right of Way 150,000 75,000 17TH STREET Santiago St. to Wright St. Right of Way 170,000 85,000 17TH STREET Santa Ana River Bridge Approaches Right of Way & Construction 100,000 50,000 TOTAL $1,530,000 $ 765,000 Said improvements are to be in accordance with the attached project statements incorporated herein by reference.
