RESOLUTION NO. 74-30 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD NEW CLASS TITLES, AUTHORIZE CERTAIN OTHER CHANGES IN THE CLASSIFICATION ~ PAY STRUCTURE AND ADOPT NEW ~ REVISED CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONS, ALL PERTAINING TO THE DATA PROCESSING SERIES OF CLASSES WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for employees of the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classi- fication and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, after careful study of the positions and classifications assigned to the Data Processing Activity, it is now desired to add two new classes at appropriate salary levels, change the titles of three existing classes, increase slightly the salary level of two classes, reallocate a position from an existing class to a new classification, and adopt new and revised classifications specifications pertaining to the data processing series of classes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further amended by: 1. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the salary range numbers as next herein set out: CLASS TITLE SALARY RANGE NUMBER Assistant Progra~aner Analyst Data Processing Technician 301 250 2. Changing the class title of Data Processing Supervisor to Data Processing Manager; 3. Changing the following class titles and the salary range allocations as next herein set out: FROM TO CLASS TITLE RANGE NO. CLASS TITLE RANGE NO. Prograz~ner Analyst 351 Prograrmner 321 Senior Prograraner Analyst 355 Programmer Analyst 333 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the attached classification specifications for the new classes of Assistant Prograrmmer Analyst and Data Processing Technician be adopted and that the attached revised clas~fication specifications for the following existing and above retitled classes be approved and adopted as amended: Data Processing Manager Senior Programmer Analyst Progra~ner Analyst Computer Operator Senior Key Punch Operator Key Punch Operator BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on 18 , 1974.
