RESOLUTION NO. 74-39 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD A NEW CLASS TITLE, CHANGE TITLES OF CERTAII~ EXISTING CLASSES, AND ADOPT NEW AND REVISED SPECIFICATIONS, ALL PERTAINING TO THE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SERIES OF CLASSES Whereas, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for employees of the City of Santa Ama; and Whereas, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ama requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classi- fication and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and Whereas, after careful study of the positions and classifications assigned to the Equipment Maintenance Department, it is now desired to add a new class at an appropriate salary level, change the ~1~ of four existing classes, and adopt new and revised classification specifications pertaining to the equipment maintenance series of classes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further amended by: 1. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of Equipment Serviceman I at Salary Range 220 ($610-$742). 2. Changing the following class titles as next herein set out: FROM T_90 Senior Auto Mechanic Auto Mechanic Auto Mechanic Helper Equipment Serviceman Senior Equipment Mechanic Equipment Mechanic II Equipment Mechanic I Equipment Serviceman II BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the attached classification specification for the new class of Equipment Serviceman I be adopted and that the attached revised speci- fications for the following existing and above retitled classes be ap~wed and adopted as amended: Equipment Maintenance Superintendent Garage Fore~an Senior Equipment Mechanic Equipment Mechanic II Equipment Mechanic I Equipment Serviceak~n II Blacksmith-Welder BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on April 1, 1974.
