No. 56-141 <br />Establish yellow zone <br />On Main St. btn Bishop <br />and Cubbon Sts. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from the County Tax Collector advising of the intention to <br /> sell at public auction Lot 16, Block B Goldsmith Addition, Lots i and 2 Block A <br /> T~act 633 and Lot 17 Tract 159, and on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by <br /> Jerome and carried, the matter was referred to the Manager for recnmmendation at <br /> the next meeting~ <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of eight <br /> property owners in the 1BO0 block West Walnut Street, expressing their willingness <br /> to donate twelve feet on each side of the street so that street pavement and <br /> of curbs may be completed the same time that Bristol Street is widened, was referre~ <br /> to the Manager for recommendation. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dab_l, seconded by Jerome and carried, the plans and specifi- <br /> cations were approved for the furnishing of equipment for booster pumping stations, <br /> as outlined in Specification No. 101, prepared by James M. Montgomery, and the <br /> Purchasing Agent was authorized to advertise for bids to be opened May 21st, 1956. <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of thc Resolution, on motion of <br /> Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 56-t37 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br /> establishing red zones on both sides of Lacy Street, between Third and Fourth Street: <br /> reference request of ~[rs. Chandler <br /> ~ ce o, C oun cilme n None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, the curb usage commi~ <br /> was granted two weeks time in which to submit a report on the request of the Post- <br /> master for the relocation of the courtesy mail box at Floral Park Station on West <br /> Street and the mail box on the west side of Bush Street near Sixth Street and one to <br /> be located on Sixth Street east of Bush Street. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by <br /> D~ and carried, the request of Lillian's, 815 North Main Street, was denied for <br /> the establishment of a loading zone in front of their three shops. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman D~hl, seconded by Jerome <br />and carried, action was deferred until such time as the Traffic Engineer makes a <br />further study reference request of First Church of Christ, Scientist, for a traffic <br />signal at 10th and Broadway. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitle~: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 56-140 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing nO parking on the e~st side of Jefferson Place between 17th and 19th <br />Streets, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H.
