RESOLUTION NO. 74-72 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP AND DE- <br />CLARING INTENTION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF <br />LILAC AVENUE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF LILAC <br />AVENUE WEST OF GAT~STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and the Planning <br />Commission have recommended a public hearing be set on the <br />question of said abandonment, a request for the abandonment <br />of a portion of Lilac Avenue on the north side of Lilac <br />Avenue west of Gates Street has been received by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa <br />Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the <br />same filed with the original of this resolution in the office <br />of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made <br />to said map for the exterior boundaries for said right of <br />way proposed to be abandoned. <br /> <br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed under <br />the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (§~8300-8374 <br />of the California Streets and Highways Code) to abandon that <br />portion of Lilac Avenue on the north side of Lilac Avenue <br />west of GateS Street, in the City of Santa Aha, County of <br />Orange, State of California, described as follows: <br /> <br />That portion of lot 8, Tract No. 1298, as <br />per map thereof recorded in Book 41, Pages <br />1 and 2, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of <br />Orange County, California, described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Parcel 1. The Southerly 22.00 feet of said <br />lot 8. <br /> <br />Parcel 2. A spandrel shaped parcel of land <br />bounded on the South by the North line of <br />Parcel 1, bounded on the East by the East <br />line of said lot 8; bounded Northwesterly <br />by the arc of a curve concave Northwesterly <br />having a radius of 25.00 feet and being <br />tangent to said Southerly and Easterly <br />boundaries. <br /> <br />Reserving all Vehicular Access Rights to <br />Lilac Avenue, formerly Smeltzer Avenue, from <br />the lands lying Northerly of the South line <br />of said lot 8. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that June 17 , 1974, at <br />the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center <br />Plaza, Santa Aha, California, is hereby fixed as the hour and <br />the place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting <br />to said proposed street vacation. <br /> <br /> <br />
