RESOLUTION NO. 74-93 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO ABANDON PORTIONS OF LINCOLN <br />AVENUE AND FRUIT STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and the Planning <br />Commission have recommended a public hearing be set on the <br />question of said abandonment, a request for the abandonment <br />of portions of Lincoln Avenue and Fruit Streets. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Las deemed it <br />essential to the health, safety and welfare that an ease- <br />ment be retained over said right of way for the City of Santa <br />Aha for utility purposes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa <br />Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the <br />same filed with the original of this resolution in the office <br />of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made <br />to said map for the exterior boundaries for said right of <br />way proposed to be abandoned. <br /> <br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed under <br />the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 194~ (~S8300-8374 <br />of the California Streets and Highways Code) to abandon those <br />portions of Lincoln Avenue and Fruit Streets in the City of <br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Parcel 1 <br /> <br />The west half of Lincoln Avenue, (formerly <br />Lincoln Street) 50.00 feet wide, in the <br />Hawkins Addition, in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, as <br />shown on the Map recorded in Book 13, Page <br />26 of Miscellaneous Records in the office <br />of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, <br />California, bounded northerly by a line 52.00 <br />feet southeasterly of and parallel with a <br />line described as having a bearing and dis- <br />tance of south 64° 18' 10" west 1421.66 feet <br />in a deed to the City of Santa Ana recorded <br />December 17, 1968, in Book 8818 page 197 of <br />Official Records and bounded southerly by <br />the easterly prolongation of the southerly <br />line of lot 17 of Block "E" of said Hawkins <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Parcel 2 <br /> <br />That portion of Fruit Street in the Hawkins <br />Addition, in the City of Santa Ana, County <br />of Orange, State of California, included <br />within the description of said Hawkins Addi- <br />tion, as per Map recorded in Book 13 Page 26 <br />of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the <br />County Recorder of Los Angeles County, Calif- <br />ornia; bounded northerly by the southerly line <br />of Lot 17 Block "E" of said Hawkins Addition <br /> <br /> <br />
