On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome <br />and carried, the matter was continued until the next rogular meeting. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Pla~ing Con~nission reconEaending denial of variance <br />application of Clark L. and Zelinor D. Loomis to permit use of property at 2201 <br /> <br />South Bristol Street for a roal estate office, with 25 square foot sign erocted in <br />the front yard at right angles to Bristol Stroet, due to inadequate space for park- <br />lng. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommend- <br />ation of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance denied. <br /> <br />Con~nunication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of variance <br />application of Robert W. Mead to permit the use of property at 1230 West Fairview <br />Avenue, for a radio-television repair and service shop, with sign. Attorney William <br />C. Adams presented a petition signed by 15 persons roquesting approval of the <br />variance. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Neinly and carried, the <br />petition was received and filed. The Council having unanimously waived the roading <br />of the Resolution, on motion of CounciLman Dahl, seconded by Neinly and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 56-198 granting Variance where Planning <br /> Commission recommended denial" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Date H. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerame and carried, a <br />notice was ordered published setting the date of public hearing on August 6th, 1956. <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission submitting Resolution No. lll7 <br />rocommending the roclassification of property located on the south side of Fairview <br />Avenue, beginning at a point 892' west of the center line of Bristol Street and <br />Fairview Avenue, with 170' frontage on Fairview Avenue and extending south for a <br />depth of 1027', from the R-1 to the R-3 District, reference amendment application ofl <br />Orange County Develolm~ent Company. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, a notice was ordered published setting the date of public hearing <br />on August 6th, 1956. <br /> <br />Communication was road from the Planning Con~ission submitting Resolution No. lll6 <br />rec~!~ng the reclassification of property located on the north side of Talbert <br />Avenue, with a frontage of 3610', between Bristol Street and Fairview Road, from <br />the R-1 to the M-1 District, referonce amendment application of Anton H. and Harold <br />T.
