RESOLUTION 74- 120 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AN APPLICATION <br />FORGRANT FOR ORANGE COUNTY NARCOTICS INDEX, <br />FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE PLANNING AND AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF <br />POLICE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO EXECUTE ALL <br />DOCUMENTS PERTINENT THERETO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a <br />certain project designated Orange County Narcotics Index to <br />be funded for the second year in part from funds made available <br />through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, <br />PL 90--355, as amended PL 91-644, (hereafter referred to as the <br />Safe Streets Act) administered by the Orange County Criminal <br />Justice Council (hereafter referred to as OCCJC). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Chief of Police, Raymond C. D~vis <br />of the Santa ~_na Police Department, was authorized on its behalf, <br />to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement <br />Purposes to OCCJC and is authorized to execute on behalf of the <br />City of Santa Ana the attached Grant Award Contract for law en- <br />forcement purposes including any extensions or amendments there- <br />of. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide <br />all matching funds required for said project (including any ex- <br />tension or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and <br />the rules and regulations of OCCJC and the Law Enforcement Assis- <br />tance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as re- <br />quired thereby. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder <br />shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expendi- <br />tures. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th <br />day of August , 1974. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
