RESOLUTION NO. 74-124 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ALLOCATING THE BALANCE OF CITY "PARKING <br />METER FUND" TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSES <br />SPECIFIED IN SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 36-406. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code Section <br />36-406, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana established <br />a "Parking Meter Fund" to be used for the purposes specified <br />in said section; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as of June 30, 1974, there exists the amount of <br />$295,000 (Two hundred ninety-five thousand dollars) in said <br />"Parking Meter Fund"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is presently a need for the use of said <br />"Parking Meter Fund" money consistent with the purposes set <br />forth in Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 36-406, to wit: for <br />the purposes of the elimination of traffic violations upon the <br />public streets of the city, for the elimination of traffic ha- <br />zards, the improvement of city streets to expedite orderly traf- <br />fic movement, and the purchase, installation and maintenance of <br />mechanical traffic control devices. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that a need exists for the <br />use of the "Parking Meter Fund" consistent with the purposes <br />set forth in Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 36-406; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the balance of said "Parking <br />Meter Fund" as of June 30, 1974, be transferred to the General <br />Fund to be allocated at the discretion of the Director of Finance <br />to the following General Fund accounts: <br /> <br />11-333 Police Traffic Division <br />11-563 Public Works Traffic Signals <br />11-565 Public Works Traffic Painting and Signs <br />11-567 Public Works Street Name Signs <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the allocations specified above <br />to the General Fund are made for purposes consistent with Santa <br />Ana Municipal Code Section 36-406 to wit: for the elimination of <br />traffic violations on the public streets; for the elimination of <br />traffic hazards; for the improvement of city streets to expedite <br />orderly traffic movement, and for the purchase, installation and <br />maintenance of mechanical traffic control devices. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of August <br />1974. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
