RESOLUTION 74- 126 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT <br />FOR ORANGE CO%~TY BURGLARY PREVENTION INDEX <br />FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL <br />J~3STICE PLANNING AND AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF <br />POLICE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO EXECUTE ALL <br />DOCUMENTS PERTINENT THERETO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to undertake <br />a certain project designated Orange County Burglary <br />Prevention Index to be funded for the second year in part <br />from funds made available through the omnibus Crime Control <br />and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-355, as amended PL 91-644, <br />(hereafter referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered <br />by the Orange County Criminal Justice Council (hereafter <br />referred to as OCCJC). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Chief of Police, Raymond <br />C. Davis of the Santa Ana Police Department, was authorized <br />on its behalf, to submit the attached Application for Grant <br />for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCCJC and is authorized to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the attached <br />Grant Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including <br />any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the the applicant agrees to <br />provide all matching funds required for said project (including <br />any extension or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets <br />Act and the rules and regulations of OCCJC and the Law <br />Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will <br />be appropriated as required thereby. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received <br />hereunder shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforce- <br />ment expenditures. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on 19th day of <br /> August 1974. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
