RESOLUTION 73-80 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU~CIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANCTA ~NA APPROVING AN APPLICATION <br />FOR GPc~NT FOR O~RANGE COL~TY NARCOTICS INDEX, <br />CALIFOP3~IA COb~CIL ON CRIMINAL JUST_TCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHiE_~ OF POLICE OF THE CITY <br />OF SAI~TA ~NA TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUmeNTS PERTINENT <br />THERETO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to undertake a certain <br />project designated Orange County Narcotics Index to be funded in part <br />from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br />Streets Act of 1968, PL 90--355, as emended PL 91-644, (hereafter <br />referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered by the California <br />Council on Criminal ~Justice (hereafter referred to as CCCJ). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA that the Chief of Police, Raymond C. Davis of the Santa <br /> author_zed on <br />.Ana Police Department, was ~ its behalf, to su~mit the <br />attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to CCCJ <br />and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the <br />attached Grant Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including <br /> ex .... s~o..~ or ~endments ~ - <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to 'provide..all . <br />matching funds required for said project (including any extension <br />or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and the. rules and <br />regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration <br />and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. . <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder s~all <br />not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of <br />at its regular meeting held on the 16 <br />1973. <br /> <br />the City of Santa Aha <br /> day of July <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />P]AYOR <br /> <br />CLERIf OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
