RESOLUTION 73-80 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ~NA APPROVING ~N APPLICATION <br />FOR GP=~NT FOR ORANGE COL.~TY NARCOTICS INDEX, <br />CALIFOP~]XA COb."~CIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY <br />OF SANCTA 2~NA TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUmeNTS PERTINENT <br />THERETO. <br /> <br />L <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain <br />project designated Orange County Narcotics Index to be funded in part <br />from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br />Streets Act of 196~, PL 90--355, as amended PL 91-644, (hereafter <br />referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered by the California <br />Council on Criminal 'Justice. (hereafter referred to as CCCJ). <br /> <br /> N~q, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~{E CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA that the Chief of Police, Raymond C. Davis of the Santa <br />Aha Police Department, was authorized on its behalf, to suh~it the <br />attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to CCCJ <br />and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the <br />attached Grant Award Contract for law enforcement pUrposes including <br />any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to 'provide-.all <br />matching funds required ~or said project (including any extension <br />or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and the rules and <br />regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration <br />and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds .received hereunder s~all <br />not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />at its regular meeting held on the 1~ day of July <br />1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />CLEPif OF THE C£UNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
