~ESOLUTION '73-80 <br /> <br />.A PJ~SOLUTiON OF THE CITY COUINCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AN APPLICATION <br />FOR G?J~NT FOR OFuANGE COEQ~TY NARCOTICS INDEX, <br />CALIFO?3iIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY <br />OF Sb2~TA 3-NA TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUt,'2~NTS PERTINENT <br />THERETO. <br /> <br /> WHEF~AS, the City of Santa Aha desires to undertake.a certain <br />project designated Orange County Narcotics Index to be funded in part <br />from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br />Streets Act of 1968, PL 90--355, as amended PL 91-644, (hereafter -. <br />referred to as the Safe Streets Act) a~ministered by the California <br />Council on Criminal 'Justice. (hereafter referred to as CCCJ). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COr~CIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA that the Chief of Police, Raymond C. Davis of~the Santa <br />Aha Police Department, was authorized on its behalf, to submit the <br />attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to CCCJ <br />and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the <br />attached Grant Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including <br />any extensions or ~endmcnts thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to-provide-all <br />matching funds required for said project (including any extension <br />or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and the rules and <br />regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enf6rcement Assistance Administration <br />and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby'i~' <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall <br />not be used to supplant on-going law en'forcement expenditures. <br /> <br /> PASSED ~ND ADOPTED bv the City Council of the Cl.y of Santa Ana <br />at its regular mee.~ng held on the 18 day of July <br />1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />bU~YOR <br /> <br />MALONE <br /> <br />CL.~ili, OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
