. ! <br /> <br />P.E SOLUT I ON '7 3- 8 0 <br /> <br />A PJESOLUTiON OF THE CITY COL~CIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ~NA APPP~OV!NG $~' APPLICATION <br />FOR GPJ~NT FOR ORANGE COL%~TY NARCOTICS INDEX, <br />CALIFOP3~IA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE A~JD <br />AUTHORIZING-THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY <br />OF S~{TA 2~NA TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUt'~NTS PERTINENT <br />T}IE~ETO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to undertake a certain <br />project designated Orange County Narcotics Index to be funded in part <br />from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br />Streets Act of 1968, PL 90--355, as amended PL 91-644, (hereafter ~. <br />referred to au the Safe Streets Act) administered by the California <br />Council on Criminal 'Justice (hereafter referrcd to as CCCJ). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEP~FOP~E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA kNA that the Chief of Police, Ras~ond C. Davis or, the Santa <br />-Aha Police Department, was authorized on its behalf, to submit the <br />attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to CCCJ <br />and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the <br />attached Grant Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including <br />any extensions or ~endmcnts thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLIPS~D that the applicant agrees to-provide--all <br />matching funds recuired for said project (including any extension <br />or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and t~e rules and <br />regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enf6rcement Assistance Administration <br />and that cash will be appropriated as required therebyl-' <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall <br />not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />at its regular meeting held on the 18 day of July <br />1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~U~YOR <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
