RESOLUTION NO. 74-186 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK AND <br />IMPROVEMENT TOGETHER WITH APPURTENANCES AND <br />APPURTENANT WORK IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 237 <br />(QUIGLEY LANE), IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br />pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being <br />Parts 1, 2 and 3 of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code <br />of the State of California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That the public interest and convenience require the work <br />and improvement hereinafter mentioned to be done, and therefore <br />the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done <br />and improvements to be made, to wit: <br /> <br />The construction of a sanitary sewer line together <br />with appurtenances and appurtenant work generally <br />to serve properties on the west side of QUIGLEY <br />LANE (private street) in what is designated as <br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 237 (QUIGLEY LANE). <br /> <br /> For further particulars reference is hereby made to said <br />Resolution of Intention No. 74-168 and to the plans and drawings <br />for said improvement on file in the Office of the City Engineer <br />and the City Clerk of said City, and to the specifications for <br />said work heretofore adopted by said City Council and on file in <br />the Office of the City Engineer and the City Clerk of said City, <br />and all of said plans, drawings and specifications heretofore <br />approved by the City Council of said City are incorporated herein <br />and made a part hereof and reference is hereby made thereto for a <br />more particular description of said work. <br /> <br /> Said City Council has determined and declared that the con- <br />templated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was in the <br />opinion of said City Council of more than local or ordinary public <br />benefit, and said City Council has made the expense of said work <br />chargeable upon a district. For a particular description of said <br />district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention <br />No. 74-168. <br /> <br /> Said City Council has determined and declared that Serial <br />Bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven and one-half percent <br />(7-1/2%) per annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years <br />from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the next September 1st <br />following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner pro- <br />vided by the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Part 5 of Division 7 <br />of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to <br />represent each assessment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or more, re- <br />maining unpaid for thirty (30) days after date of mailing by the <br />contractor or his assigns of the statement to property owners pur- <br />suant to Section 5390 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />Ail of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through <br />pursuant to an Act of the Legislature of the State of California <br />designated the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Parts 1, 2 and 3 of <br />Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br /> Said bonds shall include a redemption provision providing <br />that a premium of five percent (5%) on the unmatured principal <br /> <br /> <br />
