RESOLUTION NO. 75-3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA AIWA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. <br />58-281 TO ADJUST THE PREVIOUSLY SCHEDU~.ED SALARY <br />RANGE NUMBERS FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE <br />LIEUTENAIFf <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for employees <br />of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended this Resolution in <br />order to maintain the relevency and equity of the Basic Compensation Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a serious salary inequity exists between personnel assigned to the <br />Police Lieutenant classification resulting from the continuance of a pay differential <br />for several incumbents (those eligible prior to September 1972) but unavailable to <br />others appointed after said date when the Police Lieutenant classification was <br />excluded from the Police Career Development Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a recent survey of Police Lieutenant salaries paid in other local law <br />enforcement agencies revealed that the prevailing rate for comparable positions <br />approximates that paid to City of Santa Aha Police Lieutenants receiving the career <br />incentive pay differential: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as <br />amended, be hereby further amended by reallocating the classification of Police <br />Lieutenant from salary range numbers listed therein to the salary range numbers as <br />next herein set out: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE <br /> <br />Police Lieutenant <br /> <br />SALARY RANGE NUMBER <br />BY EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />1-1-75 4-I-75 10-1-75 4-1-76 <br /> 407 411 417 433 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on February 1, 1975. <br /> <br /> PASSED AIqD ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its <br />meeting held on the 20th day of January <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />regular <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFOILNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORAl, GE )SS <br />CITY OF SAIFfAAI~A ) <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
