RESOLUTION NO. 75- 12 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF SANTA <br />/KNA TO CONSOLIDATE THE CLASSES OF ALAiLMDISPATCHERA/qD <br />COMMUNICATIONS OPERATOR UNDER A NEW CLASS TITLE OF <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCHER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No.' 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers <br />and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; amd <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the existing classes of Alarm Dispatcher <br />and Communications Operator have become so similar in terms of the nature, scope and <br />levels of difficulty and responsibility of their assigned duties and the basic quali- <br />fications needed to satisfactorily perform the work~ that they should be treated alike <br />for purposes of recruitment, examination, placement, compensation and other purposes <br />of personnel administration; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to consolidate the above-named classifications under <br />a cou~non class title. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as <br />amended, be further amended to change the class titles of Alarm Dispatcher and Communi- <br />cations Operator to the new class title of Emergency Services Dispatcher. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on February 1, 1975, <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of ~anta Aha at its <br />meeting held on the 5rd day of Eebruary <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> regular <br />1975. _/ <br /> <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE )SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I,FLORENCE I.
