<br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome
<br />and carried, the bid of R.L. Steirm~-ts, in the sum of $3,~30.O0 was accepted and the other
<br />bid rejected.

<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the rec~ndation of the
<br />Planning Cn,.,t ssion was approved and the variance of Trent G. and Frances W. Doser
<br />granted to permit the operation of a retail map service in one room of existing residence
<br />at 1306 South Bristol Street, subject to a condition.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Eeinly, seconded' by Markel and carried, the rec~endation of the
<br />Planning Cn~mission was approved and the variance of Buster's Burgers No. 2 granted to
<br />permit the erection of an advertising display, in accor~-~ce with plot plan, on property
<br />at 1010 South Bristol Street.

<br />On motion of Councilman Neinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the
<br />Planning Co~m, ission was approved and the variance of Clem J. and Mary Scheve granted to
<br />construct a two-bedroom house and garage on front part of lot at 92~ South Shelton Street
<br />subject to conditions as imposed by the Department of Public Works.

<br />Commmmication was .read from the Planning C<~..m'tssion recommending denial of variance appli-
<br />cation of Wright, Ltd., to permit construction of four buildings, each containing four
<br />one-bedroom units, on property located on the south side of W. 7th Street, b~ginning
<br />at a point 100' east of Artesia Street and extending east for approxfm-tely 196'. On
<br />motion of Councflm~B Jercgae, seconded by'Markel and carried, the recommendation of the
<br />Coma1 ssion was approved mud the variance denied.

<br />C¢-~...-~nication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of variance appli
<br />cation of 0rlen R. and Ruby R. Voissem, to permit construction of a ~m,ll fireproof shop
<br />to be used for storage of paint, and a limited amount of .appliance touch?uP and refinish-
<br />ing, on property at lB10 South Bristol Street. The applicant spoke in favor of his
<br />application and Messrs. Doser and Storm, property owners on each side of the subject
<br />property,, stated they had no objection to this ~ype of business. On motion of Councilman
<br />,Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recuuauendation of the C~mmission was approved

<br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission submitting Resolution No. 1072 recom-
<br />mending the reclassification of a 2.31 acre parcel of property located on the north side
<br />of Sixth Street, beginning at a point appr6~mately 108.04' west of Linwood Avenue, with
<br />a frontage of approximately 154.56' on Sixth Street and extending north for approximately
<br />385.50', from the R-1 District to the R-3 District, reference amendment application of
<br />I~mon Heights Investment Company. 0n motion of Councilm~n Heinly, seconded by Markel
<br />and carried, a notice was ordered published setting the date of public hearing on
