Environmental Impact Reports shall contain <br />the information outlined in this article. <br /> <br />Description of Pro~ct. The description of the pro- <br />ject shall contain the following information but should <br />not supply extensive detail beyond that needed for <br />evaluation and review of the environmental impact. <br /> <br />(a) The precise location and boundaries of the. <br /> <br /> proposed project shall be ~ho~n on a detailed <br /> map, preferably topographic. The location of <br /> the project shall also appear on a regional <br /> map. <br /> <br />(b) A statement of the objectives sought by the <br /> proposedproject. <br /> <br />(c) A general description of the project's technical, <br /> economic, and environmental characteristics, con- <br /> sidering the principal engineering proposals and <br /> supporting public service facilities. <br /> <br />Description of Environmental Setting.. An EIR must in- <br />clude a description of the environment in the vicinity <br />of the project· as it exists before commencement of the <br />project, from both a local and regional perspective. <br /> <br />-36- <br /> <br /> <br />
